Within minutes you can be exploring the Soudan Underground Mine and State Park home of the University of Minnesota and Fermi Lab’s MINOS project., Fortune Bay Casino, Tower Train Museum and Mini Golf are located on Lake Vermilion. The International Wolf Center, the North American Bear Center, and a great unique north woods shopping district is found in Ely. Lake Vermilion is located near the Superior National Forest and serves as a motorized access point into Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. There are ten golf courses within 25 miles of the resort, including three beautiful championship courses. Other nearby attractions include Minnesota Discovery Center, the US Hockey Hall of Fame and the Vince Shute Bear Sanctuary.
Just wanted to say that we enjoyed your cabins and the friendly service…thanks. Leaving my trailer parked in your driveway was very much appreciated. We’ll try to make a trip to your place in the late summer or early fall…for sure again next winter. I’m sure the summer will be busy for both of you but enjoy it.
